Cape Town: Home of Hope (monthly)
Home of Hope is a registered non-profit organisation that provides care services for abused, abandoned and neglected children in our country, with a focus on those affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), which is permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol.
Zambia in Partnership with the Time and Tide Foundation
Through the Time+Tide Foundation the BSR Outreach programmes have been running twice a year to work with differently abled children in rural areas of Lower Zambezi, South Luangwa and Liuwa Plains. Since 2019 the Time+Tide Foundation has sponsored three people to study to become BSR practitioners, at the BSR Academy in South Africa.
Cape Town Somerset West: Heartlands Baby Sanctuary (monthly)
Heartlands Baby Sanctuary, based in Somerset West, Western Cape, is a temporary residential safe care facility for 25 children at any given time. They provide individual specialised care and support to children in desperate need of care and protection from birth to 6 years.
Cape Town Malmesbury: Jo-Dolphin Care Swartland APD (monthly)
Jo-Dolphin is a non profit organisation located in Malmesbury, Western Cape. They are a daycare for persons with severe to profound intellectual disabilities, and their goal is to provide a balanced, safe and entertaining environment for those people.
Cape Town Manenberg: Sherwood Park Special Care Centre (monthly)
Sherwood Park Special Care Centre was established in order to ensure that special needs children and their families receive the support and adequate educational opportunities they deserve.
Eastern Cape Mthatha: Khwezi Lokusa Special Needs School (we visit this school twice a year)
International and South African BSR practitioners visit Ikwezi Lokusa Special Needs School bi-annually for 2 weeks to attend to the 240 pupils and approximately 20 staff members.
